Brittany Gataveckas

Lead, Social Sustainability

Brittany is a research and communications specialist who is committed to helping Canadian organizations advance gender equality and improve workplace inclusion. In her role as Lead, Social Sustainability, she is responsible for overseeing and implementing GCNC’s initiatives on gender equality, human rights, and decent work, including the Target Gender Equality program. Brittany also helped to deliver GCNC’s three-year government funded project, Gender Equality Leadership in the Canadian Private Sector, and co-authored the Blueprint for Gender Equality. Her previous professional experience includes consulting, research, and communications roles with leading nonprofits, educational institutions, and boutique consultancies.

Brittany holds a PhD from McMaster University. Her doctoral dissertation focused on international relations, the transition from war to peace, and the emergence of the modern human rights and humanitarian movements.

In her spare time, Brittany enjoys a good hiking trail, book, and German Biergarten.
