Trang Trinh is a Senior Manager in Deloitte Canada’s M&A Advisory practice within Financial Advisory. Trang is focused on managing integrations and divestitures where she works closely with C-suite executives to help them navigate complex transactions, business organizational structuring and redesigns, as well as change management and communications.
Trang has worked on over 10 mergers, acquisitions and divestitures through various M&A stages, ranging from $1million to $14billion in total consideration. She has worked with clients in the Lifesciences, Consumer Business, Oil and Gas and Financial Services sectors in Canada and the US.
Trang is a true collaborator and recently launched the Canadian Lifesciences Community of Practice at Deloitte to facilitate knowledge sharing and relationship building between practitioners.
Trang is also renowned as a talent builder, helping to grow the M&A Advisory practice from a team of eight when she joined in 2014 to now more than seventy nationally. She is an inspiration and mentor to many, and helping to develop the learning curriculum on leadership development.
Trang is a champion for diversity and inclusion and advancement of women in the workplace. She is National Chair for Deloitte’s women’s employee resource group (canWIN) and also contributes to the Financial Advisory practice’s Diversity and Inclusion strategy, helping to increase the number of women in leadership at Deloitte.
In the community, Trang is a mentor for Girls E-Mentorship (GEM), helping to provide an innovative mentorship experience for motivated high school girls facing multiple barriers.
Trang is the recipient of the 2018 Lynda Bowles Spirit Award, a prestigious award presented by Deloitte in recognition of her efforts to develop and mentor women within Deloitte and in the community.
Prior to joining Deloitte, she worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers and held roles within finance and operations at Loblaw Companies Limited. She also was a founding member of Shaping Her Esteem (SHE), a not-for-profit organization focused on creating and building confidence in young girls in Toronto.
Trang holds an Honours Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business and is a Chartered Professional Accountant and a Chartered Accountant.
