The Global Compact Network Canada (GCNC) is the Canadian network of the UN Global Compact. The GCNC is spearheading the Sustainable Development Goals and the 10 Principles of the UN Global Compact in Canada. In doing so, the GCNC and its many participants unify and builds the capacity of the Canadian private sector to embrace sustainable business practices by convening and accelerating opportunities for multistakeholder collaboration.

Organized jointly by the United Nations Global Compact and Global Compact Network Canada, Making Global Goals Local Business – Canada was a two-day business sustainability summit that brought together Canadian businesses leaders, sustainability professionals, government officials, impact-driven entrepreneurs, NGO leaders, and the United Nations to catalyze collective action and accelerate progress on the UN Global Compact’s Ten Principles and the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) here in Canada.

The Global Compact Network Canada (GCNC) is proud to announce that the Government of Canada is investing in funding the GCNC for a three-year project for engaging the private sector as a responsible accelerator to eliminate barriers faced by women in the workplace.
The GCNC hosts in-person and online SDG workshops and training sessions to help Canadian businesses explore different tools to demystify, assess, integrate, and report on the SDGs.
The SDG Leadership Awards is Canada’s celebration of the SDGs and inspiration for business action. The Awards aim to recognize organizations who are helping to advance the SDGs and inspiring others to take action to create the future we want!
The SDG Survey is an annual survey conducted by the GCNC to understand the perspectives and priorities of Canadian businesses and organizations on the SDGs.
The GCNC hosts Peer Learning Roundtables and Working Groups to facilitate discussions on how the private sector can help advance the SDGs through business operations and public-private partnerships.
