If you are interested in entering into The Gender Equality Awards 2017, there are 7 categories where your company can compete in. These 7 categories are based on the Women’s Empowerment Principles:
Principle 1: Establish high-level corporate leadership for gender equality
Principle 2: Treat all women and men fairly at work – respect and support human rights and nondiscrimination
Principle 3: Ensure the health, safety and well-being of all women and men workers
Principle 4: Promote education, training and professional development for women
Principle 5: Implement enterprise development, supply chain and marketing practices that empower women
Principle 6: Promote equality through community initiatives and advocacy
Principle 7: Measure and publicly report on progress to achieve gender equality
Once you have submitted your entry before February 8, 2017, public voting will start on February 10, 2017. We do accept late entries, however, your company will bear the risk of a shorter voting period. When voting closes on March 3, 2017, the votes will be tallied and the winner for each category will be awarded during The Gender Equality Forum 2017.
Submission Deadline: February 8, 2017
Public Voting Opens: February 10, 2017
Public Voting Closes: March 3, 2017
Award Ceremony: April 3, 2017
What is Public Voting?
The winners for The Gender Equality Forum 2017 will be determined through a public voting process. The entry with the most public votes in each category will become the winner for that category (there are 7 categories, hence 7 winners in total). Please ask your employees, customers, suppliers, investors, friends, and families to view the entries submitted to the Awards and vote for the best entries. We want to create awareness and recognize the great initiatives and efforts that businesses are taking to help advance gender equality. Therefore, please help us spread the word and ensure that the best submissions win.
